Jeric - Algae Fuel Research Specialist

Just a few months after Jeric graduated from
Colorado State University in May 2011
he was blessed when a door opened for him to take the position as a
 Sr. Research Specialist/Lab Manager
at C.Trade-Bard, Inc in Philidelphia, PA.
Jeric and his family now live in Levittown just outside of Philadelphia.

C. TRADE-BARD, INC. (CTBI) is engaged in managing, developing and commercializing of patent pending, award-winning algae technology of Biofuel Advance Research and Development (BARD). This technology has been tested to grow algae in indoor environments using artificial light in vertical photo-bioreactors (PBR) and has optimized the parameters to increase the yield of algae production. CTBI is also the subsidiary of Green Mountain Development Corp a public company with trading symbol (GMND).

CTBI provides access into both biofuels and the nutraceutical/pharmaceutical markets. The diesel fuel consumption in the US alone is approximately 65 billion gallons a year. The Omega-3 market is a multi-billion dollar market and growing rapidly. The opportunity for the Next Generation algae growers is broad and BARD is focused on bringing significant production to market.

Our plants in Pennsylvania and Georgia has successfully developed and tested the technology to grow algae in indoor environments which is a significant improvement over the technology being developed by its peers using open ponds. The indoor algae growth technology has significant advantages over open pond and other technologies as it does not depend on sunlight. It is modular and highly scalable. It operates 24/7 as artificial light is utilized. Our system is a fully integrated, end-to-end system starting with inoculation all the way through the processing into end products, whether biofuels or nutraceutical/pharmaceutical.

Camille's College Graduation

Graduation from Remington College in Dallas
Medial Assisting Degree
August 18, 2011

So happy!

And we are too!
Proud of you, sweetie.

Camille found and chose this direction of Medical Assisting this last year after receiving her real estate license at a time of the real estate downturn a few years ago. Deciding to make a change in her career path Medical Assisting caught Camille’s interest and she began to jump into a whole new field and adventure. She was fascinated with all that she was learning everyday and couldn’t wait to tell her family each night all that we was learning and experiencing in her new medical training classes. The last month of the Medical Assistant program was an internship month where the college places each student in an office to apply their skills and learn first hand with that doctor.  Camille was placed with Dallas Dermatologists in Forney and Rockwall, and by the time the month of internship was over that door was opened wide with a permanent position for her. So we praise God for this blessing and job positioning. Favor, favor, favor. God is good! (I still can’t believe she’s giving shots!)

Camille & Daryl                                                       Camille & Lance

Now Camille is enjoying having her weekends free to be with her family and being able to be more involved in all their activities on weekends and evenings during the week. She had been working as a server at OutBack Steakhouse for over 7 years but has been in that whole restaurant field for even more, so she was really happy to get free from that weekend and nighttime commitment.
Camille and Darryl have three children: Jordan (11), Lance (9) and Chloe (5).  Jordan and Chloe are involved in cheerleading with the city’s Mustang’s football team, and Lance’s heart is with baseball. They are all doing awesome in school and all of them received the teachers they were wanting, so they’re excited about their new year starting up now.  Jack and I get to see them often and love watching them grow and bloom into their own little personalities. These grands are growing too fast though for this grandma….life is just going too fast!

Jeric's College Graduation

Graduation from Colorado State University
Bachelor of Science in Biology
Minor in Botany
May 14, 2011

Brother and Sister and best of friends

Jeric and his proud parents

Group pic over looking Fort Collins Reservoir

Ana & David & his monster trucks

Jeric desires to pursue his studies in the area of algae fuel research, and has been working for the university over the past years in their plant laboratory where his interests in algae fuel research began to develop. This is something that he has found a passion for, and his plans are to remain in Fort Collins and work towards his Masters and PhD in this area, but he is sending out resumes as well to see what doors would open for him in the workforce area while he prepares for the next leg of his journey.
Jeric, Ana and little David, who is now 3 years old, will be taking some time this summer and traveling for 6 weeks to Moldova (next to Romania) where Ana is from. This will be Jeric’s first time to meet Ana’s family in person, although they visit often over the computer through the Skype video camera.  Ana has been working at a children’s consignment shop there in Fort Collins, but would like to be able to take some college classes this fall semester and work towards a Medical Assistant Degree.

The mad scientist......his algae experiment is working! Yeah!!

Go for it, Jeric!
We love you son.
